Israel Tel Aviv Night Run 2012:
Mayor Ron Huldai has blown the starting horn for the Tel Aviv Night Run which brought together nearly 20,000 participants. Olympic women's 200 metres champion Allyson Felix spoke about the diverse goals the race's runners had set for themselves through the scenic downtown race route.
Olympic champion Allyson Felix:
"A lot of people have set goals and just while they are running to think about those goals and to think about achieving it and that's what I do when I am having a tough period, just always thinking about what I want to achieve and so I am sure that everyone wants to break their goal tonight."
The race's website promoted three types of goals for participants: lead the front, set a new personal record, or finish a 10K race. 16,000 people took part in the event last year with a wide array of prizes up for grabs.
